Dominick's, known as one the best Summer spots in Ann Arbor, boasts an awesome outdoor patio to enjoy all Summer long. All the locals know that when Dominick's opens up, it's officially Summer!

When you walk in the door, grab a picnic table outside on the patio and jump in line with friends (you'll need a few extra hands to carry food and drinks back). The menu is written all over the walls as you wait in line, and every drink is served in giant pitchers or jars. The staff is fun, young and friendly, and this place is a total, no frills, hang out type bar. And the food is pretty great as well. The best time to hang out at Dominick's is a sunny afternoon, as Dominick's is mostly a day/early evening place, closing at 10 pm.

The bottom line: The pricing here is pretty college/ budget friendly. Each throw in 10 or 20 bucks, you'll get drinks and a meal and leave feeling satisfied.

Dominick's is located at:

812 Monroe St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104

In the depressed Michigan housing market, investors are now able to buy bank owned properties for les than 25 cents on the dollar. Once re-habbed, the houses are HUD-appraised. If such a home is purchased by a senior, 62 or older, who is approved for a reversed mortgage, this senior can now be a proud home owner without ever having to make house payments again. The investors are willing to provide a private mortgage or land contract on the home while the senior obtains the reverse mortgage.

Isn't this a great program?! A senior with job loss or income reduction can now own a home without making any mortgage payments*. This senior can now not only be a proud home owner, but also increase his or her financial independence and have cash available for a higher style of living.

*The senior still has an obligation to pay for home insurance and property taxes.

Michigan can make a great vacation destination if you are into getting away from it all. It incorporates miles and miles of beaches, sand dunes, lush green forests, and of course... the Great Lakes. There are four regions of Michigan which are the Upper Peninsula, Northern Michigan, Mid-Michigan, and Downstate.

Michigan in the summer can be pretty exciting with activities such as canoeing down protected rivers through lush forests, motorboating or sailing on its many lakes, or fly fishing on a scenic stream. All in all there are around 12,000 lakes in the state including Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, and a small amount of Lake Erie.

If you are looking for a 'city vacation' in Michigan there is Detroit, the largest city, and Lansing, the state capital. In these bigger cities you'll find more city-like things to do with their many historic landmarks, fine dining, and cultural experiences.
